Statement from Governor McKee on the Installation of Final Revolution Wind Turbine

PROVIDENCE, RI — Today, Governor Dan McKee issued the following statement after the final turbine was installed at the Revolution Wind project.

“From the beginning, we said we would see Revolution Wind through to the end. Today, with all 65 turbines standing, Rhode Island has reached another major milestone.

“This project means more energy produced in our own backyard, good-paying union jobs, and a stronger, more reliable energy supply for Rhode Island families and businesses. We fought to keep this project moving because Rhode Island had too much at stake to walk away. Now, we can see the finish line.

“This is our energy, our future, and we’re one step closer to making it a reality.”
